Abstract
Objective:To explore the relation of children AEEG between sleeping phase and epilepsy, and its diagnosis value for children epilepsy. Methods:AEEG was performed on 140 patients with no epileptiform discharges (divided into clinical diagnosed epilepsy group and suspected epilepsy group). Distribution of AEEG epileptiform discharge was observed during waking up and sleeping. Results:The positive rate of epileptiform discharge in children with clinically diagnosed epilepsy was 56%, and 37.5% in the suspected epilepsy. The epileptiform discharges were mainly found during NREM Ⅰ Ⅱ. It was observed that NREM Ⅰ Ⅱ was lengthened and NREM Ⅲ Ⅳ was shortened. Conclusions:Children epileptiform discharges happeared mainly during Ⅰ Ⅱ. AEEG might increase the detection rate of epileptiform discharges. It might be of important significance in the diagnosis of epilepsy.
