Abstract

Panyu Ao Yu Dance is the traditional folk dance with unique locality of Guang Dong Province,being a living intangible cultural property. As an art form of folk original ecology,Panyu Ao Yu Dance embodies humanistic feelings of people in Panyu Shayong through the evolvement of the dance forms in the process of inheritance. The article aims to expand the inheritance of this folk dance by exploring its historical origins and the dance form development. Folk dance research combined with dance teaching in local colleges is the way to popularize the dance from the local squares to the college classrooms,and to further promote the protection,inheritance and development of the folk dance.
