Application of cyst plug in the treatment of cysts of jaw bone

Abstract

Cyst plug was used in 39 patients after treatment of jaw bone cyst by marsupialization.Cyst opening was maintained unobstructed in all patients without problems associated with the device.All cysts were cured in 1~2 years after treatment.Normal eruption of permanent teeth was observed in 3 cases in tooth replacement period.Cyst plug could keep sustainable drainage window and prevent the operated cavity from pollution of food draft.
