Abstract
A study was conducted to evaluate the soil nutrient status especial for the K nutrient of mulberry trees planting area in Guangxi using soil nutrient systematic approach, and the field experiment with four levels of K were carried out to study the effects of K fertilizer on mulberry growth, yield and K uptaking characteristics. The results showed that soil K was one of the main limiting factors of nutrient on mulberry in planting area.Based on applying N and P fertilizers, the treatments with potassium fertilizer could increase the yield of mulberry leaf and the absorption of K in mulberry, and the effects of K2 treatments with 148.5kg K2O/hm2 was the highest. As compared with the control, the mulberry branches length and width, and the mulberry yield increased by 7.78cm,0.07cm and 27.73%,respectively.Therefore,in the experiment, the suitable dosage of K application in mulberry garden was 148.5 kg/hm2.
