The Interacting Relation of BPR and ERP

Abstract

ERP(Enterprise Resources Planning) is not only an advanced computer software, but also a new management idea and model. It offers an overall planning and a strict controlling of the resources in the enterprise with the aim to boost its competency. BPR (Business Process Reengineering) highlights the improvement of the business process and therefore basically redesigns the current working process of the corporation in order to attain radical achievements in quality and service. It is an important issue for enterprises to study BPR and ERP to increase their abilities of competition. This paper develops the definition,principles and the path of BPR and ERP.And then the relationship of BPR and ERP is discussed. Finally, on the basis of the analysis of the actual situation of the Chinese corporations, we get the conclusion that the interaction of BPR and ERP is the inexorable trend of the development of modern enterprise management.
