Abstract
Earthworms play a great role in recycling of organics and system balance in natural land ecosystem. Vermicomposting transform the organic waste to available manure by interaction of microorganisms and earthworms.This paper discusses the difference between common composting and Vermicomposting. Vermicomposting can be used to treat organic waste, such as municipal rubbish, sewage and papermill sludge, feces of animals and waste materials during agriculture. The end product can be used as soil organic amendment and better fertilizer. The earthworm can be used as feedstuff for animal or fish. The process of Vermicomposting produces better quality manure with reducing, resource and no-harm of waste and is of social, economic and environmental significance.
