Abstract

Morpheme,affix and grammatical ending are the dominant parts in morphology. A morpheme may be definded as the minimal linguistic sign, a grammatical unit, in which there is an arbitrary union of a sound and a meaning and which can not be further analyzed. Derivational affix modifies the word lexically which can be divided into prefix,infix and suffix. Grammatical ending or inflectional morpheme is the sign after the root which modifies the words grammatically.
