There exists an embarrassment in the study of literary history: the nature of sequence and prescription in history will in turn destroy the active elements in the original works.As a result,we have to trace back to the historical context of the literary works with the help of original ecological theory so as to reduce the loss of inevitable literariness.The research into Shi Shuo Xin Yu is done from the perspective of original ecology,which has important enlightenment on the study of literature in Wei and Jin,for the literature in that period mainly focused on the prosperity of East Jin and the description of the landscape.This perspective may help readers deeply comprehend the evolution of literature in Wei and Jin.
