The value of transvaginal sonography and HCG in the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy

Abstract

Objective:To assess the value of transvaginal sonography and HCG in the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.Method:One hundred and two patients with suspected ectopic pregnancy were diagnosed by transvaginal sonography and HCG.The results were compared with the operation and pathology.Result:The rate of accurate diagnosis with ultrasonography was 98.8%.Ninety-seven in 102 case of ectopic pregnancy were diagnosed with transsvaginal ultrasonound and HCG.The accuracy of diagnosis was 96.9%.Conclusion:Transvaginal sonogrraphy is an useful tool in diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.The rate of diagnostic accuracy with Transvaginal sonogrraphy and HCG was increased by 2.0%.There were none cases of missed diagnosis.
