Abstract

The paper build the geological model through different size blocks, and explore the main factors restricting ore block size.In the geological model of experimental deposit, when the block size is smaller than 20 m,the curve of gold metal quantity is smooth. While when the block size is greater than 20m,the gold metal quantity has big error in the block, which can not fit the wireframe. The block size must also match the special efficient data and the range of semivariogram. In the geological model of gold deposit,as the block sizes decrease, the variances increase. In other words,as the block size decrease, the error of single block estimated grade gets bigger as well.In all,the bock size should keep within the bounds of shapes of ore bodies, exploratory grid, semivariogram range, and mining method.
