Abstract
The continuous brake control system with engine brake, exhaust brake and retarder is put forward in order to deal with the problem of low brake torque with engine brake and exhaust brake of bus. According to the demands of steady speed on mountainous downhill road, the corresponding control system is designed. The simulation and analysis results show that without service brake, the vehicle with the control system can drive at expected speed on various grade roads. The control system provides reasonable solution of brake safety for vehicle driving on mountainous downhill road.
