Abstract

ICP-AES was used for the direct determination of impurities i.e.Cr,Cd,Sn,Ba,Mn,Fe,Zn,Ti,Cu,Co,Ni,Mg in aluminium-silicon alloy. The effects of solvent, matrix, flow capacity of carrier gas and acidic concentration of solution on the determination results were studied. The best operating paramenters were chosen. This method was simple, rapid and accurate. The recoveries were in the range of 96%~104%.The relative standard deviation was less than 5%
