Abstract
Objective To study the effect of different period after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion on hippocampus CA1 region from molecular biology level using the model of forebrain ischemic of gerbils. Methods Gerbil model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury was established by bilateral common carotid artery blocking. The pathological changes in hippocampus CA1 region of gerbils were observed by HE staining. Results Compared with fake operation group and normal control group, the number of live cells in hippocampus CA1 region of gerbils with a single 5 min ischemia was reduced, and there was significant different(P﹤0.01); There was significant different among repeated5 min ischemic group, interval 10 min ischemia group, continuum 10 min ischemia group, ake operation group and normal control group(P﹤0.01);The severe ischemia changes were shown at every time point in repeated 5 min ischemic group and interval 1 h ischemia group ,and there was significant different as compared with other groups(P﹤0.01); The light ischemia changes were shown in repeated 5 min ischemic group and interval 24 h ischemia group, and there wasn't significant different as compared with continuum 10 min ischemia group(P=0.0501). Conclusion The serious extent of repeated ischemia was related with the duration of ischemia and the interval. The most severe change was in repeated 5 min and interval 1 h ischemia group. It hinted synthetic treatment should be performed in patients with cerebral infarction to prevent tooccur the repeated cerebral infarction.
