Abstract

The effects of lactic acid, potassium sodium tartrate, boric acid and sodium citrate on the deposition rate of electroless Ni-P plating on aluminum alloy were studied, and the bonding strength and corrosion resistance of the Ni-P coating on aluminum alloy were also investigated. On this basis, the suitable technological conditions were determined. The Ni-P coating on aluminum alloy obtained according to the above process exhibits a good surface quality,a higher bonding strength and an improved corrosion resistance.
