Abstract

Objective To compare the effects of different target concentrations of sufentanil given by TCI combined with propofol on hemodynamics during induction. Methods Forty-five patients undergoing selective surgery under general anesthesia were divided rando mly into three groups with 15 cases each.Propofol was given by TCI according to three steps in the effect target concentrations of 1.0 μg/ml,2.0 μg/ml and 3.0 μg/ml,respectively.Then TCI sufentanil was started in the effect-site target concentrations of 0.2,0.3 and 0.4 ng/ml for group Ⅰ,group Ⅱand group Ⅲ,respectively. The BP and HR were recorded before anesthesia(T0),at the times of propofol 1.0 μg/ml(T1),2.0 μg/ml(T2),3.0 μg/ml(T3),1 min after the target concentrations of sufentanil were achieved(T4),during intubation(T5),at 1 min(T6),3 min(T7)and 5 min after intubation(T8).Results BP at T5-T7 in group Ⅰand at T5 in group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ were significantly higher than those at T4(P0.05),the increasing levels were about 40% in group Ⅰ and 15%-20% in group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ at T1,but lower than those at T0.HR at T6-T8 in group Ⅰ and at T6 in group Ⅲ were higher than those at T4(P0.05),but were not higher than those at T0.The valus of BIS were not different significantly between three groups at the same time. Conclusion It is recommended that a sufentanil effect-site target concentration of 0.3 ng/ml combined with propofol 3.0 μg/ml is suitable for tracheal intubation.
