Abstract
The effects of inoculation with 8 rhizobial strains on Medicago sativa L.cv.Zhongmu No.1 were studied. The results show that there was significant difference in different strains for alfalfa growth improvement. The shoot dry weight of Zhongmu No.1 inoculated with rhizobia increased 3.8%~26.12%,the number of nodules increased 2.9%~41.43%,the root dry weight increased 5.8%~41.38%,and the content of crude protein increase 2.39%~8.5% in comparison with the control.Zhongmu No.1 grew well by inoculation with the strain ACCC17544 which enhanced the symbiotic nitrogen fixation, forage yield, and protein content in alfalfa.
