Abstract
Objective: Diabetic rats were induced to explore the detection of urinary nephrin in diabetic rats, its dynamic changes and clinical significance. Methods: SD rats were divided into 2 groups.Diabetic rats model were induced by single intraperitoneal injection of streptozocin(STZ),while those of normal control group were injected with equal dosage of citric acid buffer solution.Twenty four hours urinary microalbumin and renal function were ambulatorily monitored, and Urinary Nephrin was measured with Western-Blot. Results: The test showed that no urinary nephrin were found in normal control group, but it was decteted out in diabetic rats group, and discovered at the early stage(2 weeks after STZ injection). With the extension of course, urinary nephrin gradually increased, and then gradually decreased after reaching its peak by week 8. Conclusion: The nephrin could be excreted out from urine at the early stage of diabetic nephropathy.Urinary nephrin could not only be regarded as a specific index for the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy, but also be benificial to clinical monitoring and evaluating the degrees of the DN.
