Abstract
Earthwork is one of the main segments building in construction project. Before construction,we must calculate the amount of earthwork and the elevation of site design for site preparation, according to the basic balance between the amount of fill and excavation as the main principle. It has important economic significance to reduce the earthwork volume and speed up the progress of construction using the reasonable calculation for the site design elevation.Elevation of the site design has great influence on earthwork calculation. For adjusting the design elevation,we should consider not only the deformability of the soil, but also topographic features on site.
