Abstract

Modification treatment of Chengde zeolite was conducted by means of addition of inorganic salt and fused-aqueous alkali or by thermal activation, adsorption test was performed with simulated ammonia-nitrogen wastewater, and the modification result and origin was further analyzed by means of XRD and SEM.It was found by comparing the removal rates that the zeolite modified by using alkali solution with mass percentage of 7% would be the best one to treat ammonia-nitrogen wastewater.Meantime, the saturate adsorption capacity of natural zeolite used for ammonia-nitrogen adsorption was measured and the isothermal adsorption curves were compared,so that the Freundlich curve was considered to have better conformity to the actuality.
