Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical methods and effects of autogenous fibular graft for bone reconstruction after resection of giant cell tumor(GCT) in the distal radius. Methods Between July 2004 and October 2005.Autogenous fibular graft for bone reconstruction were applied to 5 patients who underwent resection of the GCT in distal radius. Results All cases achieved primary healing of incisions and normal function of fingers as well as complete self-management;none of them complained numbness and pain.No patient had tumor recurrence and lung metastases. Conclusion Autogenous fibular graft is an effective method of wrist reconstruction after resection of the distal radius.
