The New Chinese Traditional Orchestra with the Resource of Chinese Traditional music

The paper was read out in 2006 Workshop on Creation and Training of Chinese Traditional Orchestra in Beijing.The writer dissertated of two issues:chosen from four kinds of instruments,blowing,bowing,plucking,and percussion to organize a new Chinese traditional orchestra is the necessity and the best choice for the large-scale Chinese traditional orchestra.Those composers,directors,and players were short of knowing the features of the Chinese traditional instruments,playing method,which lead the new Chinese traditional orchestra less the characteristic and charming.He proposed his suggestion to developing the new Chinese traditional orchestra.
