Spatial-temporal Change and Diversity of Community Structure of Phytoplankton in Panjiakou Reservoir

Abstract

To understand ecological characteristics of phytoplankton community in Panjiakou Reservoir,an investigation was done from May to November 2010.Results showed that total 41 species,29 genera and 8 phylum of phytoplankton were identified,and the largest species were green algae,which was 21 species,accounting for 51.22%of total phytoplankton species.Followed by blue algae,which was 8 species,accounting for 19.51% of total phytoplankton species.The species composition of phytoplankton showed significant seasonal and regional changes,and green algae was advantageous absolutely,with dominant species as Cyclotella,Chlamydomonas and Synedra from May to July,Pseudanabaena from August to November.Cell density of phytoplankton was 4.74×106~8.24×107 cells/L,with the maximum in August and the minimum in June.Diversity and evenness indices of phytoplankton were good,respectively in the range of 0.01~1.97 and 0.01~0.94.The structure of phytoplankton community was relatively stable.
