Study on Modification of HTPB Polyurethane Elastomer

Abstract

The HTPB polyurethane elastomer is synthesized by the method of prepolymer,and then is modified by chemical technique.The results indicate that the mechanical and water-resistant properties of the polyurethane elastomer material are the best when it is prepared with hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene 3100 as soft segment,2,4- toluene diisocyanate as hard segment,and the ratio of -NCO is between 4.5%~5.0%.moreover the content of E-51 is 25%of prepolymer.
