Abstract
The EU is among the most frequent users of antidumping measure against Chinese products, who for a long time regarded China as a non-market economy and employed the discriminatory analogue country method in determining the normal value for Chinese products. Since 1998, the EU has allowed Chinese enterprises to apply for Market Economy Treatment, and offered normal treatment for qualified exporters. China hopes that the EU can grant market economy status to the country soon, which receives positive responses from the EU this year. However, even if the non-market economy issue could be resolved soon, antidumping would still be a problem for Chinese exporters.
