Abstract
Acrylic acid was polymerized by radiation of ()~(60)Co to synthesized high water absorbent crosslinking poly(sodium acrylate). The influences of monomer concentration , neutralization degree , crosslinking agent and radiation dosages on absorption performance of crosslinking poly(sodium acrylate) were studied. The resulted showed that the crosslinking poly(sodium acrylate) had high water absorption when rediation dosage reached 20 thousand Gy. The neutralization degree was 80% and the monomer concentration was 16.7%. The absorption of normal saline was 128g/g poly(sodium acrylate), ionic water was 252g/g and distilled water was 2096g/g.
