Abstract
HEC-HMS includes a lot of models which can be used to compute the rainfall runoff,including models of the runoff volume,the direct runoff,the baseflow,and the channel flow.This paper is an attempt to describe the construction of HEC-HMS.Use is made of HEC-HMS in the Louzigou River basin,which is divided into forty-three sub-basins by natural division.Methods used are initial and constant-rate loss models,UH hydrograph models,exponential recession models and Muskingum models.Simulations of twelve runoff events are conducted,and good results are obtained.
