Abstract
A method for simultaneous determination of arsenic and mercury in zinc ingot was developed by hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry(HG-AFS) with dissolution of samples by hydrochloric acid and polyepoxysuccinic acid(PESA) as masking matrix. The results showed that 2.0mL PESA could effectively mask znic matrix after 0.1g zinc ingot was dissolved. The coexisting elements Mg,Al,Cu,Sb and Sn in zinc ingot did not interfere the determination. The detection limits of arsenic and mercury were 0.26μg/L and 0.043μg/L,relative standard deviations(RSD,n=5) were 1.1%—2.0% and 1.0%—1.6%,recoveries were 96.1%—120.0% and 92.8%—108.8%,respectively.
