Abstract
On the bases of the past wind erosion models for land surface with vegetation coverage,we introduce three important parameters to reflect the vegetation coverage characteristics: vegetation coverage, vegetation lateral coverage and vegetation distribution coefficient, and a new wind erosion model is suggested by theoretic analyzing. We conducted a series of experiments in our wind tunnel with the length of 13m and cross section of 500mm×500mm,two distribution patterns of vegetation(stager and superposition) and different heights of vegetation were considered during the wind tunnel experiments, and the soil from Bashang region was used as the experimental sand. This new model is verified by our experimental results of wind tunnel.
