Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the relationships of MMP-2,MMP-9 and VEGF expression in and colon carcinoma tumor and lymph nodes tissues, and to investigate the clinical significance.METHODS: The expressions of MMP-2,MMP-9 and VEGF were measured by immunohistochemistry and ELISA in the resected specimens from 60 patients with colon carcinoma and 25 normal controls.RESULTS: The positive rate of MMP-2,MMP-9 and VEGF in the colonic carcinoma tissues were 81.6%,78.3% and 90.0%,which were significantly higher than those of controls(P0.05).The positive rate of MMP-2,MMP-9 and VEGF were significantly correlated with TNM stage and lymph node metastasis(P0.05).CONCLUSION: MMP-2,MMP-9 and VEGF expression in colon carcinoma increases markedly and plays an important role in progression of colon carcinoma.
