Abstract
[Objective] The aim was to study the effect of three grafting methods on cucumber grafting seedlings growth. [Method] With ‘Kanghanbao’ as the rootstock, ‘Maria’ as the scion, we used approach grafting, single and double root cutting close-joining as the three grafting methods to study the effect of different methods on the prophase stage of cucumber seedlings. [Result] The grafting living rate and work efficiency were the highest with 97.5% and 94.0 respectively. The number, length and weight of the rootstock roots were higher than other two methods. [Conclusion] Double root cutting close-joining method promoted the growth of scion and the stem diameter. The leaf area and dry weight of scion were significant higher than others.
