Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of 99 Tc m EHIDA hepatobiliary scintigraphy in the differential diagnosis between infantile hepatitis syndrome and biliary atresia. Methods 99 Tc m EHIDA hepatobiliary scintigraphy in combination with duodenal fluid examination were used to evaluate in 212 infants with persistent infantile jaudice. Results For diagnosing biliary atresia, the specificity and accuracy of scintigraphy were 100% and 89.1%, for diagnosing infantile hepatitis syndrome, the sensitivity was 81.7%. Conclusion Hepatobliary scintigraphy in combination with exmenation of duodenal fluid is of value to the differential diagnosis between infantile hepatitis syndrome and biliary atresia. [
