Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical manifestations of acute mushroom poisoning, establish clinical classification, and guide treatment. Methods The clinical data of 54 cases of acute mushroom poisoning were retrospectively analyzed. The patients with severe acute mushroom poisoning were given conventional treatment combined with blood purification. The clinical symptoms and change of biochemical indicators were compared before and after treatment. Results According to the clinical manifestations, severe acute mushroom poisoning was divided into gastroenteritis type,nerve-spirit type, toxic hepatitis type, acute renal failure type and mixed type displaying multiple organ dysfunction.Gastrointestinal symptoms were the first manifestations in various types. After comprehensive treatment,3 cases died in the group of mixed type,2cases died of ventricular tachycardia, and 1 case died of respiratory and circulatory failure. Conclusion The clinical classification should be emphasized to treat acute mushroom poisoning effectively. The mixed type displaying multiple organ dysfunction(myocardial damage mainly)should be alerted as the type is apt to develop into malignant arrhythmia and respiratory and circulatory failure.Early blood purification is a modus operandi of treating severe acute mushroom poisoning.
