Abstract
Both the theoretical analyses and many experiments about the effect of the cutting tool's rake angle on the cutting vibration at different cutting speed during the process of the metal cut have been made. The result shows that when the rake angle of cutting tool increases, the oscillation of the cutting vibration decreases gradually. When the rake angle γ_00°, the maximum oscillation in one direction takes place at the speed of 50~70m/min; When the rake angle γ_00°, it takes place at the speed of 160~180m/min. Meantime, measures to keep the amplitude from the region of the maximum oscillation have been put forward so as to ensure the quality of the cutting work.
