On the application of case teaching methods

Case teaching methods are one of the heuristic teaching methods,by which cases are employed as a medium.The methods are very useful in teaching,such as enabling students to understand theoretical knowledge well,improving the students'adaptation to markets,helping guiding the students'practice activities,and facilitating the students to transfer their learned knowledge into practical techniques.In the teaching of consumers'behaviors,various case teaching methods could be employed,including the positive case teaching method,the analytical teaching method,the simulation case teaching method,and the investigation case teaching method.When employing the case teaching methods,teachers should select typical cases and establish their own banks of cases;they should also be aware of their roles and responsibilities and their students';and the teachers should strike a balance between case and theoretical teachings.
