Abstract

Objective To explore the expression of platelet-derived endothelia cell growth factor (PDGF) in coronary heart disease (CAD) patients before and 6 months after stent implantation and its clinical significanceMethods 206 cases of normal coronary angiography patients and 106 cases of coronary stent implantation patients were enrolled in the study.PDGF mRNA expression in monocyte was tested by RT-PCR in normal coronary angiography patients and coronary stent implantation patients before, and 6 hours,3 months, and 6 months after stent implantation.Result Compared with the normal coronary angiography patients, the mean optical density (OD) of PDGF mRNA pre-stent implantation in CAD was significantly higher (P0.05). Compared with pre-stent implantation,OD of PDGF mRNA was higher in 6 hours,3 months,6 months post-stent implantation (F=194.754,P=0.000).Compared with non-stent restenosis patients, mean OD of PDGF mRNA in stent restenosis patients was significantly higher (F=108.059,P=0.000).Conclusion The vessel injury caused by coronary stent implantation might lead to the increase of expression of PDGF,which may involve the occurrence of stent restenosis.
