Abstract

Purpose:To improve the clinical effect of high risk benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods:From May 1995 to july 2000, Madigan Prostatectomy was performed in for 58 cases of high risk benign prostatic hyperplasia. Results: All patients were operated successfully and recovered smoothly except 1 case with complicating cerebral embolism. The patients have been followed up for 6~24 months with satisfactory result in all. Conclusions: We belived that it was effictive for the treatment of preoperative care, postoperative care, less blood and time during operation.
