Abstract

Objective To investigate the immunological reaction state of Th1/Th2 cytokines in the peripheral blood from surgical patients with primary carcinoma of Liver and to observe the effects after operation. Methods Serum levels of IL-2,IFN-γ,IL-4,IL-10 were detected in 24 patients and 24 healthy subjects by using ELISA,and the mRNA expression of Th1 related cytokines(IL-2,IFN-γ) and Th2 related cytokines(IL-4,IL-10) were detected by PCR.Results The serum levels and mRNA expression of Th1 cell from primary carcinoma of Liver patients was obviously lower than that in the healthy control(P0.05),but serum levels and mRNA expression of Th2 cell from primary carcinoma of Liver patients was obviously higher than that in healthy control(P0.05).Conclusion It can be discovered that the concentration or the mRNA expression of Th1 related cytokines is inhibited with a concomitant predominant state of Th2 related cytokines in the peripheral blood from patients in the primary carcinoma of liver.
