Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy of intravenous thrombolysis with urokinase in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)aged over 75 years. Methods Seventy-five patients with AMI aged over75 years were divided into two groups:thrombolytic therapy group(n=35)and control group(n=40)with conventional treatment.Patients in thrombolytic therapy group were treated with combined therapy of intravenous administration of urokinase and conventional medicines, and patients in control group were only treated with conventional medicines.Result The clinical recanalization rate in patients of thrombolytic therapy group was 62.86%,while the mortality was 11.43% and no serious hemorrhagic complications occurred in these patients. The clinical recanalization rate in patients of control group was 22.5%,while the mortality was 27.5%.Conclusion The intravenous thrombolysis with urokinase can decrease the mortality and improve the prognosis of patients with AMI aged over 75 years.
