Abstract
Objective To explore the operation skill and the effect of a common perspective in clinical application of interlocking intramedullary nail in treatment of femoral shaft fractures in the lateral decubitus position. Methods From September 2010 to September 2012 lateral decubitus interlocking intramedullary nail was used in treatment of femoral shaft fractures in 24 patients. The postoperative functional recovery was evaluated according to Klemm grading standard. Results The average operation time was 58 min(45-80 min),the amount of bleeding during operation was an average of 83 ml(50-200 ml),postoperative recessive bleeding was an average of 296 ml(200-450 ml).Mean fluoroscopy time was 60 s(40-80 s).There were no transfer of ORIF patients. The average hospitalization time was 9 d(6-14 d).The patients were followed up for5-12 months after operation(mean 9 months),clinical healing time was 6-12 months(average 8 months),1 case had delayed union. The postoperative curative effect according to the functional recovery of Klemm grading standard was:excellent in 19cases,good in 5 cases, the excellent and good rate was 100%.Conclusion The lateral ordinary perspective under the bed of closed reduction and interlocking intramedullary nail system for the treatment of femoral shaft fractures is a kind of good method.
