The Present Condition of Clinical Study on Statins Pleiotropic Effects

Abstract
Statins lowers the serum cholesterol level, prevents occurrence and death of cardiovascular diseases. Statins is one of the most effective medicines in treating cardiovascular disease. It has been discovered in clinical trial that statins cures cardiovascular disease, and still has the other function of not lipid-lowering therapy. It is current to call this kind of statins pleiotropy effect that of statins not lipid-lowering therapy. Statins pleiotropy effect has remained a hot topic in the cardiovascular realm recent years. This article examines statins pleiotropy effect from the latest clinical evidence, and looks for an answer to the above issue.
