Combined surgery of silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation in aphakic eyes following vitrectomy

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the combined surgical methods and clinical effect of silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation in aphakic eyes following vitrectomy.Methods 41 eyes(41 cases) were evaluated retrospectively.Silicone oil removal and AC IOL implantation were performed in 21 eyes,and 20 eyes accepted silicone oil removal and PC IOL implantation.The vision result and complications had been evaluated.Results The postoperative vision were close to preoperative corrected vision in AC IOL implantation group,and the postoperative vision decreased in PC IOL implantation group(P0.05).Conclusion The combined surgery of silicone oil removal and intraocular lens implantation in aphakic eyes is effective,and silicone oil removal and AC IOL implantation is more convenient and have a better clinical effect.
