On the Practices of Thermal Recovery of Tankou Thick Oil Reservoirs and the Lessons Learnt from Them

Tankou thick oil reservoirs are the typical shallow extra-heavy oil reservoirs.In this paper the particular production methods during steam injection cycle of different well areas are illustrated based on the experiences of steam injection and stimulation in the northern and southern part of Tankou.The optimal steam injecting pattern of Tankou thick oil field is discussed to improve the efficiency of steam stimulation and the exploring results while the matching well pattern infilling and nitrogen injection techniques are also taken into account.
