Study on Grouting and Reinforcement Technology of Broken Roof in Fully Mechanized Top Coal Caving Mining Face

Abstract

The coal quality of No. N2202 Coal Mining Face in Wuyu Coal Mining Company was quite soft and the spalling from the coal mining wall in the coal mining face was serious especially passing through the fault. Roof fallings occurred in the coal mining face,seriously influenced to the normal circulated coal mining operation and caused dangers to the safety coal production. In order to control the coal wall spalling and the roof falling,with the analysis on the grouting and reinforcement mechanism and the permanent reinforcement S mechanics performances,in combination with the site actual working conditions,an advance pullback of the powered support,grouting and other measure were conducted to control the coal wall and the roof in the area had coal wall spalling seriously occurred in the coal mining face. During the grouting process,the spacing,location,length and other parameters of the grouting boreholes were continuously optimized. The coal wall and the roof of the coal mining face were finally controlled and a safety and high efficient coal mining was realized.
