Abstract

This paper presents the principle of a photovoltaic(PV) simulator which emulates the output characteristics of PV arrays.A simulation model for photovoltaic array simulator under Matlab environment based on the mathematical modules of PV arrays and power electronic technology is built up.In the model,the I-V characteristics of photovoltaic array can be simulated at any corresponding insolation level,ambient temperature and parameters of the photovoltaic module.The feasibility of the theory is proved by the results of Matlab simulations.
