Abstract

The Liushuquan gold deposit, which hosted by the basaltic strata of Lower Carboniferous Jiangbasitao Formation, comprises two types of mineralization, the quartz-vein and the broken-altered type deposit. Alongside the north flank of the Kalamaili deep fault, magmatic rock bodies and gold deposits show zonal distribution. Controlled by Carboniferous and Devonian system, 16 ore-bearing veins which parallel each other north-east have been found in this deposit. Among them gold vein①,④,⑤,⑦ and ⑨ are main and 7 industrial orebodies have been blocked-out. Pyrite is a mainly metallic mineral and marcasite, hematite are slightly less than pyrite.Quartz-vein and broken-altered rock ore occured intimately, and the former is within the latter. Au and As show an obvious positive correlation. Pyritization which showed as an obvious oxidized gossan on the surface is mineral criteria for gold ore prospecting.
