Abstract
Agricultural non-point source pollution is a worldwide problem.To solve this problem,Ohio State University (OSU) in the USA combines controlled drainage,irrigation systems,and ponds and wetlands through an underground pipeline and water pump.A kind of modern small irrigation and drainage system,including irrigation,drainage,wetland purification and drainage water reuse,is formed.This system can raise the water resource efficiency and control agricultural non-point source pollution.It is mainly applied in dry crop areas.Because of its higher cost,it may be used in greenhouses in China,and needs to be improved for paddy fields.
