Abstract
Aim:To study the expression of Livinα and Livinβ in esophageal carcinoma tissue. Methods:Livinα and Livinβ mRNA in 46 cases of esophageal carcinoma were detected by real-time RT-PCR,Livin protein were assayed by immunohistochemical method. Results:The positive rates of Livin mRNA and protein in esophageal carcinoma tissue were 82.6%(38/46)and 93.5%(43/46),respectively,but in normal tissue, the positive rates of mRNA and protein were 6.5%(3/46),which were lower than that of the former(P0.05).Two isoforms of Livin were expressed at the same time, and the expression of Livinβ and Livinα had no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:There is a higher expression of Livin in esophageal carcinoma tissue,Livin may play an important role in esophageal carcinoma happening.
