Abstract
The number of deep water moored offshore vessel is growing rapidly, physical and numerical modeling of such vessels with extensive mooring lines is a challenge. In this paper the technical development of the different types of component material and anchors, model test and the use of quasi-static method, dynamic method and coupled analysis are described for deep water mooring system of a semi-submerged drilling platform. This paper gives a preparation of mooring system used or planned in deep water development.
