Abstract

The Mineral composition, chemical components and microhardness of the magnetite ore from Jinbeizhuang Iron Ore-deposit in Hebei Province are presented by means of X-ray diffraction,X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry and microhardness analysis. It is demonstrated that the iron ore-deposit in Jinbeizhuang is sedimentary metamorphic magnetite, the magnetite is mainly composed by the minerals, such as magnetite, quartz, martite, limonite, pyrrhotite and chromite. The contents of Fe2O3 and FeO in the magnetite is in the range of 62.26%~70.34% and 33.13%~26.57%,65.21% and 30.6% in average, respectively, the summary is more than 95%.The average contents of the other main components in the magnetite ore are CaO 2.28%,SiO2 1.77%,Al2O3 0.51%,K2O 0.51%,P2O5 0.45%,MgO 0.20% and TiO2 0.12%,respectively.The microhardness of the magnetite ore is in the range of 515~550 kg/mm2,and 528kg/mm2 in the average.
