The Reconstruction of the Ancient Walled City of Tai'er zhuang Memory Construction,Public Memory and National Discourse

Memoryis a high-profile concept in the field of humanities and social science in the recent 20 years.According to the theory of memory,memory can besanctified,selected,instaurated and effaced,the nature of which is plasticity.Memories have layers,such as public memory and collective memory,which are interconvertible.The reconstruction of the old city of Taierzhuang is the process of reconstruction of Taierzhuangs original historical and cultural heritage in an effort to reconstruct collective memory.This process also endows Taierzhuang with new historical and cultural traditions.It not only stands a new collective memory formation logo,but also plays an important role in its construction.The collective memory by national discourse has undergone a convertion and ascension to the national public memory,thus giving Taierzhuang a new historical status and significance.As for this kind of phenomenons,explorations should go beyond the city itself,and have an insight into the logic of generation and construction process under the present social circumstances,in an effort to reveal the essence of the inheritance of traditional culture.
